Neohesperidin is a flavanone glycoside found in citrus fruits. It is a kind of natural new nutritional sweetener extracted from aurantium aurantium. The sweetness of Neohesperidin dihydrochalcone obtained by hydrogenation is 1500-2000 times that of sucrose. It is widely used as a sweetener (orthodontic agent) in fruit juice, fruit wine, beverage, cakes and pharmaceutical formulation, especially suitable for diabetics.
